Cookies and local storage
ShotSheets sets no profiling or tracking cookies and uses no analytics. To work, the app saves some technical data directly in your browser (local storage). This page explains what and why.
Does it use cookies?
No. The site sets no session, profiling or third-party cookies. The storage we use (localStorage, IndexedDB, sessionStorage) is technical and strictly necessary for the service you request, so it needs no consent under the ePrivacy rules. That is why there is no cookie banner: there would be nothing to accept.
What we store locally
localStorage: language, theme, saved styles, alias rules, gear presets and the last template-picker category. IndexedDB: the working session (imported photo files, metadata, notes) so you can resume after a reload. sessionStorage: a marker that tells a reload apart from a new visit. None of this data is sent to us.
External requests (only when you act)
We do not load third-party content automatically. The only external requests start when you trigger them: the place lookup (OpenStreetMap Nominatim) and the picker maps (OpenStreetMap tiles) while online, or opening a link (Ko-fi, Instagram, Product Hunt). If you do not click, nothing is sent to third parties.
How to manage or clear this data
You can clear the session and preferences at any time with the "Clear all" button in the editor, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Uninstalling the PWA removes the local cache.
